REVISED plans that could see new homes and shops built on a parcel of land near Ascot High Street have been submitted.

Developer London Square has tweaked its plans to erect 133 dwellings on land to the south of the High Street, by Ascot Fire Station.

The revised scheme includes 32 homes, 101 apartments, a park with open spaces of grass and places to play, a two-storey community building, a large public square, and new shops, cafes, restaurants, and offices.

Following a six-month public consultation with residents and stakeholders, London Square has tweaked its latest scheme.

The new plans include a larger community building to seat 126 people with spill-out space into the square and supporting office space, increased size of the proposed square, new outdoor performance space and revised landscape design, reduced height in key buildings, and some redesigns.

London Square Group Development Director Mark Smith said: “We are grateful to everyone that has taken part in our consultation for the feedback they have given us; it has been a tremendous help in informing our proposals.

“We believe this site has the potential to become an exciting addition to Ascot High Street, bringing new activity, homes, community facilities and open space into the heart of the town.

“After a period of hard work to address the comments received, we hope that the updated application will be well received.”
