Bracknell residents are reminded of the warm places available across the borough as temperatures are expected to plummet this week.

There are seven Community Winter Hubs available that offer a warm and welcoming space for people to visit, as the Met Office issues an amber cold weather alert.

The chilly weather is expected to last through to Monday December 12, with a high chance of severe cold weather and icy conditions.

There is no need to book, everyone is welcome to drop in even if it is just to have a cup of tea or read a book for the afternoon.

Details of the location of each hub and their opening times can be found on the council’s website.

Bracknell Forest Council has offered information on how to keep warm and well during the cold snap. If possible, residents are advised to heat their homes to at least 18 degrees, wear several thick layers of clothing instead of a single thick layer, keep active, have plenty of hot food and drinks, and check in on vulnerable people.
