A Windsor cafe has been awarded a Good Food Award for its excellence within the field.

'Chosen for their food quality, service and value,' Cinnamon Cafe has achieved the prestigious Blue Ribbon which is bestowed upon those with high customer ratings.

Owner of Cinnamon Cafe Ian Jones said: “On behalf of myself, Nick, and the team it is great news to hear that we have been given this award.

"Cinnamon Café has operated in Windsor for over twenty-one years now, and given the difficulties we have all faced over the last few years, particularly in the retail catering business, this award is a great boost to us moving forward in such uncertain times.

"I would personally like to thank all customers, regulars and staff, both existing and previous, that helped make this possible."

Cinnamon Cafe is situated near Windsor Royal Station, Jubilee Arch and is known for its two nutcrackers that guard the entrance to the cafe.

Promising to 'deliver the best possible coffee, and food, at the best value, that is sustainable, with genuine local service', the cafe has a 4.5/5 star rating on Tripadvisor.

The Good Food Awards were founded in 2002, providing unique awards and recognising those who strive for culinary excellence within their field.

With over half a million eating establishments within the UK, competition for the Good Food Awards is tough, organisers say.

"We were taken aback by the record number of entrants and votes cast for the finalists by readers, customers and fans alike," the Good Food Awards said.

"It was heart-warming to see the support our winners received."

The awards are free to enter and entirely based on merit.
