Hundreds of homes across the Royal Borough will be able to get ‘game-changing’ ultrafast broadband from Gigaclear.

Residents in Hurley, Bisham and Cookham Dean will reportedly start seeing increased speed from the end of this month.

Gigaclear, the UK’s leading rural full-fibre broadband provider, is expanding and seeks to provide full-fibre network to underserved market towns and communities in rural Berkshire.

Regional General Manager Ben Woods said: “This month will see the first customers connected in Hurley, Bisham and Cookham Dean.

“Our plan is to complete connections to more than 1,650 homes and businesses in the three villages by Christmas. Property owners are now able to access much faster broadband speeds and save money in the process. It really is a win-win.”

Gigaclear’s full-fibre upgrade claims to provide customers with speeds of up to 900Mbps. They say that with this speed, it will take just four seconds to download a film in its entirety.

Mr Woods added: “Communities like Hurley, Bisham and Cookham Dean have been calling out for better broadband, and we are thrilled to be able to provide it.

“These days, access to reliable and fast broadband is a necessity not a luxury which is why I am so pleased that we are able to extend our full fibre network in the county.”

Gigaclear has frozen its full-fibre broadband rates for 18 months, so both new and existing customers will not see a rise in prices until October 2023.
