A cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A412 near Iver.

The cyclist, a man in his fifties, was involved in a collision with a vehicle on Uxbridge Road going northbound after the junction with Black Park Road.

The vehicle failed to stop at the scene as the cyclist was taken to Wexham Park Hospital suffering a cut to the back of his head that required numerous stitches, cuts to his legs and a heavily bruised right arm.

He has since been discharged as Thames Valley Police appeal for witnesses.

PC Alistair Bennett, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Amersham police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this collision to please come forward.

“Also, if you have any dash-cam footage and were driving in the area around the time of the collision, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
