Some changes will be made to bin collections next week as the country braces for extremely hot weather.
The forecast for Monday and Tuesday (July 18 and 19) currently predicts temperatures to be around 35-37 degrees - prompting the Met Office's first ever red extreme heat warning - potentially making it dangerous for waste collection crews to carry out their work during the hottest part of the day.
This means bin collection rounds will be starting earlier all week to get more done before the heat becomes unbearable.

Reading Borough Council have updated residents informing them their waste collection 'may be earlier in the day than normal'.
Therefore residents have been asked to put their bins out a day earlier to avoid it not being collected.
Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council said collections will take place at 5am on Monday and Tuesday and 6am for the rest of the week.
Adding: "Please ensure your bin is out in good time for the earlier collections. Our crews do a very outdoor role so starting one hour earlier means they finish before the worst of the heat."
Wokingham Borough Council will also start collections an hour earlier.
From tomorrow (18 July), your waste and recycling collections will start an hour earlier at 5:30am ☀️
