A DOG show in Windsor was a "huge success" following its four-day event.

The Windsor Championship Dog Show 2022, which ran from June 30 to July 3, saw nearly 8,000 dogs from across the UK to attend the largest event of its kind in the South of England.

Each day whosted different breeds of pedigree dogs, which is divided into seven groups.

Sussie Wiles, secretary of Windsor Championship Dog Show, said: “The officers and committee of Windsor Championship Dog Show were delighted that their four-day show was a huge success.

“It was wonderful to welcome back dogs, their owners, judges, tradestand holders and of course a steady stream of visitors from all over the world.“

Mrs Wiles added one Labrador exhibitor travelled from Argentina with her yellow male to take part in the competition.

She said: “The new layout with extensive tenting ment that exhibitors and their dogs were comfortable regardless of the weather which this year was quite variable.

“At the end of the four days the Best In Show was awarded to a  black Standard Poodle imported from Sweden by the name of Champion Huffish Rewrite the Stars with Alastar (Jake to his friends) proudly owned and handled by Mr Philip Langdon.

“Best Puppy in show was Mrs Bisland’s 11month old Doberman called Krieger’s Highland Fling. Aptly named as she had travelled down all the way from Scotland.“
