DRINKS were flowing at a retirement village in Windsor to celebrate the solstice.
Castle View Windsor, on Helston Lane, hosted a special Italian-themed dinner for its property owners and guest to mark the longest day of the year on June 21.
Held in the Rose Garden, everyone enjoyed food, drink and mingling in the sunshine.

Lisa Fisher, village manager, said: “There is always a real buzz to our event and none more so that on Midsummer’s Day this year.
"It was the perfect afternoon and evening, and after two years of Covid restrictions, everyone was up for enjoying themselves."
“It’s wonderful to see people really enjoying their retirement here, and many have said how much more fun and social interaction they are now having compared with their previous life.”
