A SOURDOUGH pizza chain is confirmed to be opening in Windsor this summer.

Popular restaurant Franca Manca is set to open on 136/137 Peascod Street, which replaces the former White Stuff unit.

Last week, property consultants GCW told the Observer it completed on the letting of the building to Franco Manca.

A spokesperson for GCW, who acted on behalf of the landlord for the site, said: “Franco Manca will no doubt be a great addition to Peascod Street and Windsor.

“Their opening in the former White Stuff highlights the shift we are seeing across the country from traditional retail to more food and beverage occupiers.

“After a difficult period, there has been a lot of retail and leisure activity in Windsor over the past 12 months, with several new entrants now open or opening soon."

This isn't the only new restaurant welcoming customers later this year.

The Ivy Royal Windsor has confirmed it's opening on May 31.

And fast-food burger chain Five Guys also announced it will open in Windsor Royal Station in summer.
