A YOUNG volunteer in Slough has been praised for her help with a homeless support service.

Ismah Ashraf, who is currently doing her Duke of Edinburgh award, has volunteered for Slough Outreach during the past few months.

As part of the project, she has cooked different recipes to be delivered to vulnerable residents and families in the area.

Ismah’s mother Saima said: “I am very proud of Ismah because she has thought of many aspects of this project for example, not only thinking about different foods that would be appropriate, but also how it should be presented and packaged.”

Saima added the variety of recipes has also helped Ismah’s confidence in cooking.
