A ROTARY club is inviting young people to attend a special competition in Eton.

WINDSOR and Eton Rotary Club has asked anyone who has previously competed in Youth Speaks to attend this year’s competition at Eton College on Thursday, April 7.

Due to the pandemic, the event hasn’t been able run for the past couple of years.

But this year the competition will go ahead with a twist.

Rotarians will do the timings, as per the normal competition, but instead of three judges scoring the teams they will look to past competitors to offer their two penneth.

The aim of Youth Speaks is for young people to gain experience in communicating with an audience.

And those who have been in their shoes are positioned to offer words of encouragement to the teams and individuals participating to help them grow.

Any previous Youth Speaks competitors who wish to join will be able to from 6pm.

The doors will close at 9pm.
