PRINCE William and Kate Middleton are moving to Berkshire to start a ‘quiet life in the country’, according to The Telegraph.

Sources said they have their eyes on Fort Belvedere, a Grade II listed house near to the end of Windsor Great Park.

The property is where King Edward VIII, the Queen’s uncle, signed his abdication papers in 1936.

The move comes as part of the couples plans to be closer to both the Queens and Kate’s parents in Bucklebury.

Many of the royals also seemed to have been based nearby.

Harry and Meghan lived at Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor, before relocating to the US.

It is reported that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are based at Royal Lodge, Windsor while Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex settled down at Bagshot Park with their family.

The Queen, 95, has a close relationship with William and, following the Duke of Edinburgh’s death, it would make sense for her to have the Cambridges nearby.

According to an article in the Daily Mail, sources are at pains to stress that any changes for the family won’t affect their set-up at Kensington Palace.
