A MAIDENHEAD pub has been given a ‘fresh look’ as it celebrates opening under new ownership today.
The Rose pub, on Kings Street, has opened its doors to the public again after it was refurbished by new owner, Ashwin Roda.
The pub, which was purchased two weeks ago, is now set to offer Indo-Chinese food, offering a mix of Indian and Chinese flavours for customers.

To mark the occasion, MP Theresa May stopped by to cut the ribbon and congratulate Roda on his purchase of the pub.
Mrs May said: “In this day and age we see so many pubs closing, it’s great to see The Rose pub open, refurbished and with great ideas for the future.
“There’s a new restaurant going in here and it will be a big great benefit for the people here in the town centre.”
Mr Roda, who also recently purchased The Rising Sun, in Hurley, said the plan is to give the area a fresh look.
He said: “The plan is to work with the neighbours working on controlling the sound levels and provide our community with a late-night venue.”

Mr Roda said: “I hope to achieve a good following for the pub and a good reputation for the pub in general.”
