DRINKS will be flowing as an award-winning beer shop is set to open a second premises in the Royal Borough.

A Hoppy Place, established in August 2019 in Windsor, sells around 200 beers as well as ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks.

But that’s not just what they’re about, and co-owner Dave explained why A Hoppy Place is more than that.

He said: “We're all about community and we love our hoppy regulars.

“We have become a bit of a hub, and most of our closest friends are friends we've met in beer.”

Dave and co-owner Naomi, a husband-and-wife team, have lived in Maidenhead for 10 years.

And they now want to bring a community feel to their hometown.

Dave said: “We're so blessed to have so many fantastic local breweries across Berkshire and the surrounding counties, and none of them get nearly enough space on shelves and in taps - big beer has our towns locked down.

“Another pint of generic lager you say? No wonder people don't go down the pub. We are working to change that.”

A Hoppy Place aims to both bring people together but is also a takeaway craft beer retailer.

Dave added: “We’ve all been to that BBQ? Hate it when someone turns up with that crate of American light lager? Send them our way.

“We aim to be your first and best choice for take-away, or delivery, and yes, we deliver locally free of charge fantastic drinks for any occasion.”

A Hoppy Place welcomes everyone and the couple stated that inclusivity is key to their business.

Co-owner Naomi added the Windsor branch isn’t going anywhere.

She said: “A Hoppy Place Windsor is our first home and our regular drinking hole.

“This is all about growing our Hoppy Family - and we're very excited to share this journey with you all.”

The new shop plans to open on Easter weekend.
