A NEW ladies club has launched for businesses and charities in helping them recover from covid.

Set up by Ascot residents, Sally Lorraine and Viv Wrightman, The Ginger Fig Club is gearing up for its first ever event in Windsor next week.

Over lockdown, the pair discussed about starting a business together, something they’d been planning for a while.

With Wrightman having a background in travel and Lorraine with a experience in events and PR, the duo said they knew they had a good combination.

Lorraine said: “We wanted to create something for ladies each month and we are hoping to bring lots of different events in the area.

“It must be hard for everyone to get back on their feet after the pandemic so we wanted to help bring people back locally.”

The pair were always planning to launch the club in January 2022, despite the worries of the Omicron variant.

Lorraine explained: “It seems like a nice fresh start for a new year.

"We’d like to feel that we’re running some really lovely events that people are enjoying in the area, providing variety for everybody, to see the membership grow and to see where it takes us."

The Ginger Fig Clubs’ first event will be held on January 27 at Windsor Guildhall.
