A GROUP of school students have been cooking up a storm at an Italian pizzeria in Windsor.
Year 13 pupils from Green Room School, Windsor, treated diners to a range of pizzas as they helped the staff at Enzo’s restaurant on January 14.
The Italian eatery, based on Peascod Street, taught the Year 13 pupils how to make the pizza’s as part of the schools’ Wings project.
The aim of the Wings project, based at The Swan, Clewer, is to assist young people bridge the gap between leaving education and joining the world of work.
It includes a programme of preparation and experience, which Emir at Enzo’s gave the pupils the opportunity to explore.

Ellie Locke, cooking teacher at the Green Room School, said: “From making delicious pizzas and garlic bread to learning how to reset tables, waitress, learning their new favourite phrase ‘Buon Appetito’ and take orders, the pupils left feeling excited, accomplished and more motivated to work.
"They got a lot of amazing customer feedback one saying the food was 'mouth-wateringly delicious' and the service was exceptional and very professional."
Together the students came up with a special pizza called ‘Pizza la stanza verde’, the Green Room pizza featuring salami, parma ham and rocket.
And a £3 donation from each of these pizzas sold were going back into funding for the Wings project.
In total, they raised £50 across the whole day.

Miss Locke added: “A huge thanks to the Enzos team, Emir, who is a real credit to the restaurant who just boasts happiness and made their experience unforgettable and the superb chef Inout who was so patient and professional, and, of course, the lovely waitress Georgia who made us feel very welcome.
“A truly fantastic day.”
