Eighteen-year-old Marnie Clayton from Bracknell, Berkshire, disappeared on January 16, after a night out with her friends in ATIK nightclub in Windsor.

Here is a chronology of developments:

2 am Sunday, January 16 - Marnie Clayton disappears from Atik nightclub at 2am in William Street. The nightclub is located close to Windsor town centre and the castle.

3 am Sunday, January 16 - Her family report her as missing to Thames Valley Police after she failed to return home from a night out.

12.32 pm Sunday, January 16 - Thames Valley Police publishes a public missing person's appeal. Detective Chief Inspector Jon Groenen of Thames Valley Police, says: “This is out of character for Marnie, and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“I would appeal to anybody who knows of Marnie’s whereabouts to please call us on 101, quoting reference number 43220021633.

10.49 am Monday, January 17 - ATIK nightclub publish a statement regarding the police investigation.

What do we know so far?

Marnie Clayton is from Bracknell and is 18.

She is described as 5ft 2ins to 5ft 4ins tall and has brown hair and a slim build.

Miss Clayton was wearing a grey-coloured dress on the night and was carrying a handbag. 

Police said she is known to visit Reading town centre.

How long has she been missing for?

Slough Observer:

She was last seen in William Street outside Atik nightclub at 2am.

Her family reported her missing just before 3am.

What have the police said?

Detective Chief Inspector Jon Groenen said Marnie's disappearance is "out of character".

A statement released on Sunday said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“I would appeal to anybody who knows of Marnie’s whereabouts to please call us on 101, quoting reference number 43220021633."
