A FAKE account claiming to be the Theatre Royal Windsor is attempting to scam users on Facebook.
The real Theatre Royal Windsor Facebook page posted yesterday (January 5) warning its followers to be aware of this scam.
The account is believed to be sending messages to Facebook users encouraging them to click a link to win a prize.
The fake profile is named 'Theatre-Royal Windsor'.

Theatre Royal Windsor commented: “Please do not click this link.
“This account is not affiliated with us in any way, and we have reported them to Facebook.”
The theatre added if the scammer adds anyone as a friend or contacts them to report and block them.

A screenshot of the message was included in the post to show followers want to look out for.
The issue has now been dealt with as the hacker has since removed the theatre's logo as his profile picture.
The theatre didn't wish to comment any further.
