A hotel company that has taken over the old Hilton Hotel in Bracknell has applied to extend its gym.

The Village hotel brand, which will be reopening the old Hilton in Bagshot Road this month, want to add space to the gym to provide room for a studio.

Meanwhile, the owner of a farm in Cranbourne wants to build a new home there as part of a burgeoning development in the village.

In Wokingham Borough, one developer has applied to build replacement home in Finchampstead, whereas another wants to build two homes in addition to the one they occupy.

More gym and studio space for Village Hotel, Bracknell (21/01027/FUL)

Village Hotels, the new owners of the Hilton in Bracknell, want to expand the current gym to provide a new studio room.

In a covering letter attached to the application, planning agents Lichfields argued the studio would enable the new company’s vision to create a fitness club at the site, and reposition the hotel “in a competitive market.”

It was announced that Village Hotels would be taking over the site earlier this year, with the hotel expected to reopen on December 18.

The owners of Poplars Farm have applied to build a modern four bedroom home at the site.

The plan involves the demolition of at least three buildings to make way for the home, including farm shacks and a one storey household and garden store with a chimney feature which is currently visible from Crouch Lane.

The home would come with a two car garage, a home office, open plan kitchen living room, and four double bedrooms.

The owners won permission to build a two-storey, modern design home in 2018 and have recently applied to build a home gym (application 21/01006/FUL).

Plan for replacement home in Finchampstead (Wokingham app 213435)

Here, developers want to build a new home to replace a house that has already been demolished at Fleet Rise in Fleet Hill.

An overhead sketch of the site shows where the developers want the new home to be, plus their proposals to build kennels and stables.

According to a planning, design and access statement by ET Planning, a plan to demolish the first house and replace it was was refused in 2018 but allowed on appeal in April 2019.

The house that has been demolished was a small one bedroom, one storey home.

The owners of Number 1 Yeosfield in Riseley want to build two new detached homes on land they own.

One of the homes, plot one, would be built in the Yeosfield cul de sac, whereas the second home, plot two, would have access from Bull Lane in the village.

Plot one would have two parking spaces, and plot three would have two outdoor spaces and one space in a garage.

Number 1 Yeosfield is itself a semi-detached two-storey which is attached to Number 2 Yeosfield.
