There will be several motorway closures affecting drivers in Berkshire across the weekend, according to National Highways England.

These closures are as a result of continuing repairs being carried out on the M4.

If you are set to be travelling in these areas at that sort of time, then take note of what diversions will be in place.

Here’s a list of all of the closures from Friday, November 19 to Monday, November 22.

What are the M4 Closures this weekend?

M4 Eastbound

Junction 6 to Junction 5

There is a carriageway closure on the M4 between Junction 6 and 5 from 20:00 on Friday, November 19.

The carriageway will be closed throughout the weekend and will reopen at 06:00 on Monday, November 22.

The motorway is closed due to ongoing smart motorway works.

Drivers should look for diversions via the Highways England network and Local Authority roads.

M4 Westbound

Junction 5 to Junction 6

The M4 will also be closed between Junction 5 to 6 this weekend from 21:00 on Friday November 19. 

It will reopen again on Monday November 22 at 06:00.

The motorway is closed due to ongoing smart motorway works.

Are there any diversions?

Drivers should look for diversions via the Highways England network and Local Authority roads.

Junction 12

Junction 12 will be closed westbound from 21:00 on Friday November 19.

The slip road and lane will be reopened at 06:00 on Saturday November 20.

The motorway is closed for technology works.
