A street in Slough has been named the sixth expensive outside of London, according to analysis by Zoopla.

The average house price in Fulmer Rise is £6m – around 23 times pricier than the average price of a house in the UK and 13 times more than those in the rest of Slough.

Grainne Gilmore, head of research at Zoopla, said: “London comes top when it comes to the UK’s prime markets, but the wider commuter zone in the South East is also home to some of the highest-value addresses, reflecting the size and type of housing stock in these regions.”

Neighbouring Surrey features eight of them and Ascot’s Titlarks Hill has the most expensive street outside London.

The number of properties worth over a million pounds is rising in the South East.

A year ago there were 3,424 but as of September, 2021 there were 4,366. By comparison, Wales has nine.

For the 13th year in a row, Kensington Palace Gardens (postcode W8) in London was identified as Britain’s most expensive street, with homes there priced at nearly £29.9 million on average.
