A HIT AND RUN incident in Maidenhead that lead to an 11 year old boy needing hospital treatment has urged police officials to appeal for witnesses.

At around 5.50pm on August 28, an 11-year-old boy was involved in a crash with a white Volkswagen Polo on the A308, Marlow Road, close to the junction of The Crescent.

The driver then drove around the roundabout at the junction of the A4 before driving back past the child in the road and leaving the scene.

The driver was described as a woman, between 19-25 years old.

The victim sustained facial injuries and required hospital treatment, but has since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Emma Wallis of the Roads Policing Unit based in Taplow, said: “We would like to speak to anyone with information about this incident.
