OFSTED, or the Office for Standards in Education, inspects and rates all state schools across England to judge the quality of education pupils are receiving.

According to the latest ratings, there are currently six schools in Bracknell and Wokingham that have been rated as 'requires improvement' or ‘inadequate’ by Ofsted.

A LOCAL hairdresser in Crowthorne has claimed top prize in a nation-wide award ceremony.

Sarai Hair and Beauty, Crowthorne, Bracknell, was awarded the 'Business Salon of the Year 2021' at the grand final of the Salon Business Awards, held on St James' London on Monday, July 19.

3. Huge cannabis factory discovered in Bracknell house

Bracknell News:

A CANNABIS factory has been discovered in Bracknell after police managed to bust into the property yesterday.

There was a large police presence near the town centre on Tuesday, July 27, as officers carried out a search warrant at a home.

STAFF at an activity centre have reassured visitors their lake is safe following reports of 'youngsters becoming ill'.

5. Bracknell council accused of favouritism over refusing to support South Hill Park

Bracknell News:

Decision makers at Bracknell Forest Council have been accused of showing favouritism to sports facilities over arts facilities in the wake of their refusal to support the South Hill Park Trust.

Councillor Mary Temperton (Labour, Great Hollands North) clashed with Cllr Paul Bettison OBE, the leader of the council (Conservative, Little Sandhurst and Wellington) over its refusal to support the South Hill Park Trust.
