THE town is sizzling in heat which is set to hit 30C this afternoon making it hotter than some favourite holiday destinations.
Residents should make the most of it - or perhaps endure the heat - because rain and thunderstorms are predicted towards the end of the week.
With the mercury rising, it means that temperatures in Berkshire will top these top sun-soaked holiday destinations islands.
Today, the town will be hotter than the Balearic Island of Ibiza (29C), Greek island Santorini (29C), and Croatia's Dubrovnik (27C) where there is even a chance of rain.
