The number of cases of the Indian variant of Covid-19 in Windsor and Maidenhead can be revealed.

Across the country, 50,824 confirmed cases of the Delta variant have now been recorded.

Across the country, 50,824 confirmed cases of the Delta variant have now been recorded.

This marks a 46 per cent increase over the previous week, according to health officials.

Public Health England figures show 194 cases of the Delta variant had been recorded in Windsor and Maidenhead by July 2.

That was 116 more than the 78 cases recorded the week before. 

Elsewhere neighbouring town Slough has seen cases increase from 315 last month to 429, an increase of 114 cases.
