BERKSHIRE has reached recorded temperatures this month with people enjoying the sunshine as lockdown eases.

On June 2, the country recorded its third successive warmest day of the year with temperatures reaching 26.6C.

The River Thames was one of those places where people visited to enjoy the scorching temperatures and bask in the sunshine.

Residents are expected to get another weekend of hot weather with temperatures on Friday, Saturday and Sunday predicted to see highs in the mid-20s, with Sunday lined up to be the warmest day of the weekend, according to the Met Office.

Some weather forecasters are predicting temperatures of up to 30C on Monday 14 June, which could potentially be the hottest day of the year so far.
