DEVELOPERS of a major regeneration scheme in Maidenhead town centre could have their 87 flats plans approved next week.
The 3.5 acre Landing site – which is bordered by Queen Street, King Street, and Broadway – was approved in 2019 despite officers recommending refusal for 424 homes, a new office building, car parking, retail, and new public space.

As part of the major project, the developers, Ryger Maidenhead Ltd, are proposing to construct a 10-storey building, known as block E, to provide 87 flats with ground-floor retail – which was granted outline permission as part of the hybrid scheme.
This block of flats was submitted under a reserved matters application, which means if outline permission was granted, the exact details on things such as the design of the homes, materials used, etc. would be determined.

Planning officers have recommended for this application to be approved.
Councillors on the Royal Borough Development Management panel will decide whether or not to grant planning permission at next week’s meeting on Wednesday, June 16.
