FURNITURE Villages' head office in Slough has been victim to a cyber attack with customers experiencing 'delays to their orders'.

The company based on Bath Road, Slough confirmed in a statement last week that they were the 'target of a cybersecurity attack'.

As a result, there have been delays to customers orders and deliveries across the UK.

The issue came to light late on Friday night (May 28) and the company decided to shut off the affected IT systems in order to limit the impact of the incident.

Furniture Village continues to investigate how the cyber attack happened and staff 'are working hard to get systems back online'.

Some customers have taken to Twitter to praise Furniture Village for quickly getting orders sorted, despite late deliveries.

A statement on their website says: "We’d like to apologise to customers who have experienced disruption or delay to their orders, following the cybersecurity incident that we recently experienced. We are pleased to share that, while we are continuing to experience some disruption, we are making progress on restoring our systems and are now fulfilling some orders on a limited basis.
