A THREE bedroom house in Slough up for auction with a £240,000 guide price sold for less than double the price.

The terraced house, based in Birch Grove, Slough, was sold for £334,000 online auction by Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers on Wednesday, May 15.

The property was among 135 lots in the latest auction held by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK.

A bidding war erupted at the auction as buyers were keen to get their hands on the property.

Kevin Gilbert, Director and Auctioneer said: “This one certainly took off – and that is very much the beauty of auctions.

“We had considered this modern mid-terrace house built circa 1975 and located close to local shops, schools and amenities to be ideal for immediate investment – and our bidders agreed.” 

The property is let at £13,395.72 per annum under an occupancy agreement dating from 1994.

The house is approximately one mile from the town centre and north of the M4 motorway.

Slough itself lies close between central London and Reading.
