YOU may have had your suspicions, but did you know there are several beauty spots in Berkshire used as prolific dogging sites?

Remote car parks, woods and nature trails across the county are among the top sites for having sex outdoors, according to one adult website.

Before you head off for a family stroll in one of Berkshire's many beauty spots this Easter weekend then, it may be worth checking the following list if you want to avoid stumbling across this kind of activity.

According to the adult website Swinging Heaven, popular spots for exhibitionist behaviour are The Warren in Wokingham/Reading near the river, Aviation Museum car park in Woodley and various areas in Wokingham.

Ambarrow Court car park in Little Sandhurst also makes it on the list.

The website states that Rise Road in Sunninghill, which has a good car park, sees 'plenty of couples' there and can be accessed by driving up the hill.

Theale and Westmorland park in Warfield also gets a mention for being a good location late at night with the lay by just off the M4 motorway in Theale a place of choice for many wishing for some al fresco fun.

There are even suggestions that action takes place behind the Southlake flats in Woodley whilst Swinley Road car park in Ascot is another good place.

And thrill-seekers looking for somewhere more secluded are advised to head up to Tidmarsh, down the small lane.

Another location on the adult website is Salt Hill Park in Slough where it's described as 'perfect for car fun'.

Dogging, sexual activity in public or watching others engage in sexual activity in public, is not banned under a specific law in the UK, but people who get caught can be charged under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 with public lewdness and indecent exposure.

In 2019, Thames Valley Police said they deal ‘robustly’ with reports of dogging and treat them as ‘a serious matter’.

However, this time round the police declined to comment on the matter.

Dogging became popular in 2003 when couples were able to arrange meetings conveniently on the internet.
