More than 150 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Berkshire in the past 24 hours.
Public Health England has recorded 152 lab-confirmed cases in areas including Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead.
These figures, correct as of Wednesday, February 17 at 4pm, bringing the county's lab-confirmed positive Covid-19 tests total to 52,587, according to Public Health England.

The local breakdown for the past 24 hours as follows:
Bracknell - 27 cases, 6,678 total
Wokingham - 14 cases, 7,696 total
Reading - 21 cases, 10,286 total
West Berkshire - 25 cases, 5,890 total
Slough - 49 cases, 14,192 total
Windsor and Maidenhead - 16 cases, 7,845 total

Scientists have urged the Government to set an “acceptable level” of Covid-19 infections.
Experts said they have been “crying out” for someone in a position of political power to decide what level of Covid-19 infections are acceptable so the outbreak can be “managed with that in mind”.
Meanwhile, Professor Dame Angela McLean, chief scientific adviser at the Ministry of Defence, said that unlocking society too fast “risks disaster”.
