Firefighters from five stations rushed to the Sawyers Close flats in Windsor early this morning, to find that a reported fire was actually a flea bomb.
Six engines from Slough, Langley, Ascot, Windsor and Maidenhead were called out after neighbours spotted 'smoke' coming from one of the high rise flats and feared someone might be trapped inside.
But the occupant appeared just as firefighters were about to break down the door and revealed that the 'smoke' was only fog from a flea bomb.

Flea bombs work by pressing a button on an aerosal and letting a pesticide-infused fog cover the space affected.
The incident happened at 6.30am.
One firefighter said: "The occupant appeared just in time as we were about to break the door down."
