Windsor's MP Adam Afriyie has explained why he did not support PM Boris Johnson during Tuesday's parliamentary vote about bringing in the restored tier system of Covid restrictions.
A total of 56 Tory MPs rebelled.
Mr Afriyie said: "Without seeing the evidence, I could not in good conscience vote for regulations that continue to close our businesses, put people out of work and undermine the public finances that will pay for our healthcare and public services in the future.

"But parliament has now passed these measures into law, and I would urge everyone to obey the law so that we can see things return to normal as soon as possible.
"The great news today is that the UK is the first country in the world to gain access to a vaccine authorised. It’s on its way and we are at the beginning of our road to recovery”
