Cinderella will be fashionably late for the ball. But she will be there at Windsor's Theatre Royal from this Thursday.
The opening of the town's traditional Christmas panto has been delayed two weeks by the lockdown but theatre co-directors Anne-Marie and Jon Woodley were always determined that it would go ahead after culture Secretary Oliver Dowden confirmed that rehearsals could carry on during the lockdown period.
But it will be a Windsor panto like no other.
Audience members over 11 will have to wear face covering throughout.

Hand sanitising will be available throughout the theatre, which will have had an extra clean and viral spray before each performance.
Perspex screens will be in place between the audience and theatre staff and seats will keep each household or 'bubble' of people at least a metre apart.
