Ho ho ho - it takes more than a pandemic to keep Santa away from Windsor.

The clever elves who belong to the Windsor Lions charity fund raising organisation have persuaded him out of hiding to make a socially distanced appearance on his sleigh throughout the town starting next Friday.

Anyone who would like to is welcome to put a few coins in his collecting bucket to provide a gift for the children who might not otherwise receive one.

Next Friday, December 4, Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6 Santa will be travelling round Dedworth and Clewer from 5pm to 7.15pm.

On Saturday, December 12 and 19 and Sunday, December 20 he will be in Peascod Street outside Moss Bros from 10am to 4pm.

Villagers in Old Windsor need not feel left out. Santa will be visiting them on Thursday, December 17.

If COVID 19 puts a stop to this year's Santa’s outing and you would still like to make a small donation, visit www.windsorlions.co.uk. and head to the Just Giving page.

This year all proceeds will go to purchasing small gifts for those disadvantaged children in the area.

Santa is sponsored by Windsor's Moss Bros and Savills.
