A new partnership linking the worldwide Home-Start family support organisation with John Lewis and Waitrose aims to create an 'outpouring of kindness' to help Britain’s struggling families this Christmas - and the Slough branch is already benefitting.
Home-Start Slough has 45 volunteers and has already received a cheque for £1,000 from John Lewis and £300 from Waitrose - sent from their stores in High Wycombe.

John Lewis in High Wycombe is going to wrap up 100 presents for children, while the Waitrose branches at Beaconsfield, High Wycombe and Windsor are donating Christmas food hampers to 42 families.
Members of the Odney Club in Cookham are also part of the partnership and are making face masks for fundraising as well as 42 Christmas centrepieces to donate to families.
Story telling sessions for Home-Start families to listen to are also being recorded as part of the campaign.
