Royal Borough mayor Cllr Sayonara Luxton will be making her own 'dashing' contribution to Thames Hospice's fund raising this Christmas.
She will be donning a Santa suit to walk 10km during the annual Santa Dash which always raises money for the hospice.
Things have changed since last year's dash though.

The hospice has moved to its new home at Maidenhead and this year's dash will not be taking place in Swinley Forest as usual.
Supporters will be 'doing it their own way', taking on their own local walking or running route, covering a distance of either 3k, 5k or 10k, while adhering to the government social distancing guidelines.

Councillor Luxton, said: “This has been a tough year for everyone, but throughout Thames Hospice has continued to take care of patients and families in need, because they know how much the community needs them.
“I appreciate and admire everything Thames Hospice do and I want to make sure that this Christmas they can give families the care and support they need. Therefore on Sunday, December 6 I will be donning my Santa Suit and walking a social distanced 10km for a great local cause.”
