A Section 60 stop and search order in Langley has been extended until 10pm tonight following the stabbing of an 18-year-old boy yesterday afternoon.

The teenager suffered injuries to his back and hand and two arrests have now been made in connection with this.

The Section 60 order applies to the areas shown on the map pictured.

Police Commander Superintended Gavin Wong, said: “There will be an increased police presence in the area in order to ensure the public is safe and also to provide reassurance.

“The Section 60 order will be in place until 10pm tonight and will be keep under review.

“These orders exist to help the police prevent serious violence. The public should not be concerned by it, but it is a measure which police officers can use to help ensure the safety of the public and to prevent violent incidents.
