Heavy rain is set to hit Slough and the Royal Borough this week.

A yellow warning has been issued for Slough, and Windsor and Maidenhead by the Met Office, which says some disruption to travel is possible.

Here is what the weather service is predicting:

  • Bus and train services could be affected, with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads could make journey times longer
  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible

Between 10 and 15mm of rain is expected to fall “widely” according to the Met Office, with some areas getting as much as 30-50mm.

The warning says: “With much of this falling in a short period, around three to six hours, some surface-water flooding is likely in places, leading to disruption to travel.”

The warning is in place from 3am until 2pm tomorrow (Wednesday, October 21).
