Theatre is coming back to Windsor earlier than everybody thought.

The Theatre Royal announced it would be staging its usual Christmas pantomime weeks ago.

Now comes the news that it will be staging its first play in six months from Tuesday, October 13 for five days.

The stars of television's Judge John Deed, Martin Shaw and Jenny Seagrove will star together in Love Letters - a play from 1988 about a romantic friendship lasting half a century.

Both stars have appeared regularly at Windsor in the past.

Marketing manager Rachel Wood said: "Love Letters will run for eight performances with limited seating due to the social distancing measures in place for the safety of our audiences – so book early to avoid disappointment.

"Covid-secure measures will be in place across the entirety of the building, and performance times have been adjusted. Further information regarding our Covid measures can be found on our website."
