Bubbling with fun - and safe in their bubbles.

That was pupils at St Bernard's Preparatory School in Hawtrey Close, Slough last Thursday when they went back to class.

Each year group was kept in its own bubble, eating lunch together and having designated areas in the playground.

To add a bit of fun to the day headteacher Nathan Cheesman had arranged for a real sea of bubbles to greet the children as they walked in.

Mr Cheesman said: "Yes much of it is different, but our children have been remarkable at adjusting to the new routines which help to ensure we all stay safe, whilst still keeping teaching and learning at the heart of all we do.

"The bubble welcome helped to give your children and my staff the positive start they all deserved. There is something magical and uplifting walking through a sea of bubble to enter into school.

It was so lovely to be able to greet so many parents this morning and I thanked them for being safe and respectful with the wearing of face masks and following the school’s protocols and the Government guidance."
