The sun has shone on the first days of Claires Court school’s holiday club last week.

Children from three to 13 years old joined a summer of fun activities, which included bug hunting, warm up and exercise games, ocean-themed arts and crafts activities, watercolour art and sporting challenges.

Anne Halpin, Holiday Club Manager, said: “We are pleased to be able to run our holiday club given the safety measures in place, as it’s fantastic to see and hear the children running around enjoying the wonderful spacious grounds at our Junior Boys site.

"All of our procedures enable the children to play safely together, and it helps families who may be juggling work and other commitments.

“We have extensive safety measures in place and are following government guidelines but due to the restrictions to limit the spread of Covid-19, the holiday club this summer is for our existing school families. We hope to be able to extend future holiday clubs if safety measures relax further and we can increase the number of people attending.”

Claires Court’s holiday club is running until August 14 at its Junior Boys site at Ridgeway, The Thicket, Maidenhead.
