A £20,000 grant will be used to help people in Windsor's Clewer and Dedworth communities find success in the jobs market.

Radian Group - the town's main affordable housing provider - has secured the Community Training Grant grant from the Education and Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund.

It will pay for the setting up of Radiant Futures, a project aimed at giving people in Clewer and Dedworth access to intensive employment support and training.

Participants will be offered one-to-one support as they aim for the jobs they want while the Radiant Futures team will work closely with local employers to identify appropriate vacancies.

Cllr Helen Price, who represents Clewer and Dedworth East on the borough, has welcomed the news saying: "Access to services such as these are vital at this time and will continue to be in the future. I look forward to seeing the positive impact Radiant Futures will make on the lives of our residents and urge them to take advantage of this opportunity. "

To kick start the delivery of this project, Radian is running a series of digital webinars covering employability, health and wellbeing and even ways of starting your own business.

Michelle Dawson, managing director of community services at Radian Group, said: “Employment support has never been more urgent, and we are in a good position to impact positive change and increase opportunities for these communities."–

This project is open to anyone aged 16 and over who is eligible to work in the UK and is currently unemployed. To find out more contact Radian Group’s Employment, Support and Training team at estsupport@radian.co.uk or call 0800 432 0570.
