A READING RAF serviceman is volunteering with the South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) as part of Operation Rescript.

Corporal Darren Goodger is taking part in the scheme, which is sees full-time military personnel volunteering with SCAS in their spare time.
Darren is based with the Wexham Patient Transport Services, and assists patients who need to attend critical appointments and to assist first responders.

Darren said: "Working alongside the NHS during the pandemic has been a tough but rewarding experience.
"It has shown me first-hand how amazing they are at what they do, and being able to help is an experience I won’t forget."
Darren Goodger is a member of LXX Squadron, based at RAF Brize Norton, and works as an engineer on the Royal Air Force A400M Atlas Aircraft.
