WOKINGHAM Borough Council are appealing for protective equipment for frontline workers who are running low on supplies.

The council said that supplies for frontline workers are currently dwindling, and aren’t being replaced from central government as they should.

Cllr Charles Margetts, executive member for heath, wellbeing and adult services, said: “The situation is causing concern. We have what we need for now and people receiving care from our staff are safe for the moment, but we need more.”

The council are mainly appealing for IIR surgical masks, but also FFP3 masks, FFP2 masks, disposable gowns/coveralls, aprons and gloves.

Also goggles, hand sanitiser, clinical waste bags and packs of wipes are also needed.
