Good News for flower show fans.

Tomorrow's spring show of the Windsor & Slough Chrysanthemum, Fuchsia & Pelargonium Society is going ahead despite the lockdown.

But it will be a 'virtual' show with entrants invited to email over photographs of their amazing blooms.

The live show due to happen at Gardeners Hall, St Leonard's Road had to be cancelled of course.

President Sandra Hopkins said: "Normally photos of all the entries would be put up onto our website.

"So I emailed all our members who are internet savvy to take photos of the plants they had intended to enter, send them to me and I would post them onto the website.

"Votes could then be made by email for the favourite plants and a virtual prize awarded."

Entries close tomorrow.

One of the first to enter was Alex Burke. He is also a member of the Mid Southern Daffodil Group whose 'live' show last weekend was also cancelled.

Other competitors are invited to send pictures of their own efforts to Sandra at wscfpsociety@gmail.com
