BEACONSFIELD Town suffered back-to-back defeats in the BetVictor Southern Premier South for the first time in a month after a 3-1 loss at Poole Town on Tuesday night, writes Rob Stevens.
The Rams are fighting relegation this season and this most recent defeat sees them remain second from bottom in the table, two points behind Walton Casuals but with the advantage of a game in hand on them.
The visitors to the Tatnam Ground made the better start but it was Poole that broke the deadlock against the run of play when a 20-yard strike from Corby Moore found the bottom corner past keeper Myles Bowman.
Poole doubled the advantage as a shot hit the crossbar and the rebound was saved by Bowman, but the loose ball was tapped home by Harry Baker before the keeper could recover again.
Beaconsfield suffered a blow in the second half when substitute Callum Webb came off worse in a clash of heads with a Poole opponent and could not continue. Webb was treated for a nasty gash to his lip and chin at the Dorchester Hospital.

The Rams halved the arrears as James Ewington ran onto a through ball from Louis Stead and rounded the keeper to fire home.
Poole however immediately restored their two-goal lead when a shot from Luke Pardoe was fired home from the right-hand side of the box.
Beaconsfield return to Holloways Park for the visit of Hendon this Saturday (3pm) looking to improve upon the 2-1 defeat suffered in the reverse fixture back in November.

Flackwell Heath saw their Hellenic League Challenge Cup quarter final tie at Reading City postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Rivermoor Stadium on Monday night. It is the third time the recent wet weather has caused the fixture to be delayed.
The Heathens return to action in the Hellenic League Premier Division with matches at Wilks Park against Tuffley Rovers this Saturday (3pm) and then the all-Bucks derby with Burnham next Tuesday (7.45pm).

The league match between Holmer Green and Windsor was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Watchet Lane on Tuesday. The Greens host Reading City next Tuesday (7.45pm).
Risborough Rangers extended their lead at the top in Division One East to 14 points after a 1-0 win against Wokingham & Emmbrook.
A goal in the first half from Brian Haule – the leading scorer in the division – was the difference between the two sides at the B.E.P Stadium.
Rangers require 10 more points from their remaining nine league matches to secure the title this season. Their run-in begins with a trip to bottom side Abingdon Town this Saturday (3pm) and then second-from-bottom Langley next Tuesday (7.45pm).
