OLD WINDSOR are celebrating after success for both the first and reserves teams in cup competition at the Recreation Ground on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

The first team beat Bracknell Town Reserves 3-1 to reach the semi final in the Ascot & District Fielden Cup before the reserves thrashed Chalvey Sports A 6-1 in a quarter final to the Slough Town Reserve Cup.

Goals from Harry Farnan, Bradley Birchmore and Chris Atkins helped the senior side to victory against Bracknell in the last eight of the Ascot & District Cup.

The winners will be at home to either South Bucks United or FC Beaconsfield in the semi final on Saturday April 18. The other quarter final takes place at the George Pitcher Memorial Ground this Saturday.

Old Windsor Reserves moved into the semi final in the Slough Town Cup thanks to a hat-trick from Danny O plus further strikes from Micky Williams, John Cook and Callum Pitcher.

The Reserves side will travel to Richings Park Reserves to battle for a spot in the final on Saturday March 28.

The Legea Ultimate Eleven Cup got under way and there was a giant killing in the Group Stage as South Bucks United beat AFC Cressex 3-1 at home.

Stoke Poges Saints made a winning start following their 3-1 victory over Hype Train with Conor Tierney scoring twice in the success.

Hype Train gave debuts to seven new players and there was a star performance from defensive midfielder Josh Cox.

Division Two leaders Townmead impressed in a 4-4 draw with KS Gryf from the Premier Division thanks to a brace from man-of-the-match James Bird.

The pick of the action this Saturday sees Premier Division side Iver Heath host Newport Pagnell Town Reserves in the semi final to the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup. The winners will face Wargrave in the final.

The Legea Ultimate Eleven Cup continues with Old Windsor first team at home to Chalvey Sports A in the Group Stage whilst Hype Train host Phoenix Old Boys A in round one of the Presidents Cup.

KS Gryf will be looking to consolidate third position in the Premier Division when travelling to bottom side AFC Cressex while Slough Heating Laurencians Reserves could leapfrog Singh Sabha into fourth place with a win at the Polish Club.
