RISBOROUGH Rangers saw their lead at the top of the Hellenic League Division One East cut after a 0-0 draw with Holyport on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

There was nothing to separate the two in-form sides at the B.E.P Stadium and, with Abingdon United winning at Didcot Town Development, Rangers now have an 11-point lead at the top.

Risborough welcome fourth-placed Wokingham & Emmbrook to the B.E.P Stadium on Tuesday night.

Both Penn & Tylers Green and Marlow United did not have a fixture to fulfil last weekend but return to action this coming Saturday (3pm). Penn travel to bottom side Abingdon Town while Marlow head to Chalvey Sports.

Flackwell Heath returned to action for the first time in a month after a 1-1 draw at Premier Division leaders Westfields last weekend.

A goal from Ashley Howell gave The Heathens the lead but Richard Greaves equalised for Westfields before the break at Allpay Park.

The draw means Flackwell stand in ninth position in the league table ahead of a visit to Wilks Park from Tuffley Rovers this Saturday (3pm).

The Heathens turn their attention to the Hellenic Challenge Cup and a quarter final tie at Reading City tonight (Monday, 7.45pm).

Bottom side Holmer Green saw their three-match unbeaten streak come to an end following their 6-1 defeat at Bishops Cleeve.

Goals from both Stephen Davies and Jack Watts plus an unfortunate own goal from Denis Pepelyarski gave Bishops Cleeve a clear lead inside the first 10 minutes at Kayte Lane.

Both Watts and Ieuan Crowe found the back of the net before the half-time whistle and Lucas Price added a sixth goal two minutes into time added on.

Pepelyarski scored a consolation effort for Holmer.

The Green return to Watchet Lane for the visit of Windsor on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
