CHINNOR extended their winning streak in the National League One to six matches after a 24-21 victory against Rosslyn Park on Saturday.

Chinnor last tasted defeat in the loss to Rams back in January and the most recent success sees them close the gap on second-placed Rosslyn Park to just two points.

The home team took a 19-7 lead into the break at Kingsey Road thanks to unconverted tries from both Joe Rees and Jason Worrall plus a hat-trick of penalty kicks from Laurence May.

Arthur Ellis bagged a touchdown for Rosslyn Park with Gregory Lound on target with his conversion attempt.

The visitors got their noses in front with tries from Ryan Roach and Josh Amadi - Lound converting both - but they suffered a double blow late on when both Stewart Maguire and Daniel Laventure were sent to the sinbin.

Chinnor made them pay as Nick Selway drove over for a valuable win to consolidate third position in the league table.

Chinnor make the trip to fifth-from-bottom Sale this Saturday (2pm) looking to complete the league double after victory in the reverse fixture back in November.

Both Jonny Baxter and Callum Wilkinson were amongst the Beaconsfield try scorers – both went unconverted – as the hosts led 19-3 heading into the break.

The home team crossed the whitewash once more in the second half and relied on the boot of Aled Lewis with two penalty kicks and a conversion to secure the bonus point win.
